Where to put all my money?!

I have played this game for about 20 hours now (2-player coop) and we are stacking up coins like crazy – which is a good thing! But we noticed that having so much money in your pockets kind of keeps you from exploring because the amount that you loose on dying scales with how much yo are carrying. I would love to have the opportunity to store money in a piggy bank or something, to safely store it between explorations.
