He just goes off constantly when someone is farming - especially as he's right next to the compost bin. Could we have it so that his greeting is an interaction rather than automatic?
I wish greetings were upon interaction as well, the cow mooing at me every time I collect eggs drives me a bit crazy!

Maybe make the greetings once an in game day? Though I like the idea of it being an interaction.

although it doesn't bother me that much, but the fact is that sometimes it really annoys me that every time I want to harvest corn, a scarecrow immediately starts greeting me, but this setting should definitely be optional.
