Why is this merchant always with us, and he has an endless supply of goods?
He doesn't ask for food, water, or shelter... It's just always there. And he has everything.
I have an idea how this can be implemented. Set up a post, dovecote, or something similar on the way from our tavern. As a tavern owner, I could run there and write down everything I need: furniture from a carpenter, seeds from a farmer, weapons from a blacksmith, fish from a fisherman, and so on) The order could be delivered on the next game day or at a time convenient for me. This would not only create the feeling that the game world has come to life and there is a whole world outside the forest. The player will think for himself and decide what he needs and what he doesn't need right now. This will slow down and make the frenzied pace of development more systematic.
Imagine that after a serious mistake that you have made due to your financial illiteracy, you are standing on the threshold of your tavern at dawn and waiting for the merchant's cart to arrive. As soon as she appears, you rush to her like a beggar, knock on the window and ask for a favor.
the topic can really be very eventful. The same notifications about the fulfillment of large orders, so that the merchant comes and picks up his 10 barrels of first-class cider or whiskey prepared by us.
