Fishing: Takes too long

I love fishing in games, fishing here could use a bit of a bump. It takes a full day and night cycle and then some to go through a rod and you come out with maybe 20 crux, and like 10-15 trout if you don’t get ‘lucky’ and come back with bunch of mugs/seeds/plates/cores. A quick fix could be making the reeling a bit faster (some casts feel like FOREVER even when keeping it on the point), or maybe have it have a chance to give you between 1-3 fish each cast?
