Dungeon Crystal/Dungeon Boss Rewards

Tavern partner and I recently tried to reach legendary tavern status. If I could go back and tell us not to try, I would. We defeated the cultist in ~40 hours, and the next 40 were spent running dungeons. We almost gave up looking for the last epic ingredient we needed (pig ribs) but eventually worked out a system where we took a speed potion, ran through the dungeon without fighting anything, then exited the game without destroying the crystal or saving. This let us run many more dungeons than we’d be able to normally, and it still took 10 hours of searching before we found it.

Flash forward to legendary, and we only need legendary pig ribs. We’ve searched for another 10 hours and we just can’t do it anymore. We’ve probably run 400+ dungeons just looking for this one ingredient. It’s not fun. Frankly the whole tavern status system feels under-baked and could be reworked, but I’ll try to keep these suggestions simple and hopefully easy to implement.

1) Destroying a Dungeon Crystal should reward you with an ingredient you need for your current tavern status quest. Drastically reduces the grind and makes finishing the dungeon rewarding instead of something you put off.

2) Destroying a Dungeon Boss should drop ingredients. Destroying rare upgraded enemies should also have a chance to drop ingredients. This would make fighting worthwhile instead of something to avoid, as there’s almost no reward for doing so at the moment and quite a bit of cost from weapons degrading.

3) There should always be a Dungeon Quest available every day. If players have enough money and just want to keep running dungeons, let them. Before we figured out the quit-without-saving method of running dungeons, we’d often be sitting for 15+ minutes waiting for a new quest.

4) Rare dishes should sell for more than they currently do and be requested by Nobles. There’s currently very little reason to hold onto separate stacks of ingredients outside of the tavern status quests.

Thanks for your time. The game is great up through the cultist, I don’t want it to seem like we weren’t enjoying ourselves.
